Comfort in unexpected places

1. I got my teeth cleaned today and was pleasantly surprised when i got to keep the lead apron on for a longer time due to there need to take a new set of full mouth X-rays.  I love the feeling of having that little bit of extra weight covering me up.

2.  I asked the hygienist what was the main purpose of the afore mentioned lead apron to which she responded, "it's to protect your reproductive organs."  I couldn't help laughing as she proceeded to shoot several X-rays at my head... good thing there is nothing important housed in my skull!

When I was in 8th grade I sewed my finger on the sewing machine and had to go get x-rays. I asked them what the apron was for and they told me that it was to keep me warm. It was a mystery for years, I guess she thought you were old enough to know the truth. I'm glad that your teeth and important organs are being protected.

Oh, Josh, I laughed out loud! Nothing important in you skull - go figure!?! It is strangely odd the random places that we can find comfort. Good read, thanks for sharing!

Hahaha. I think your most important reproductive organ might be your head, imagine being happily married if you were brainless.

A well said goes to Kendall! :) Hooray for led aprons. When I got my foot x-rayed in Korea, guess what they didn't give me... and my Joshua doesn't seem to have been effected. Whew!

I love the heaviness of those aprons, too. But have never thought about it. Thanks for bring ing it to my attention... the funny things we think of.
