Edward y Bella

I would like to start this post with two apologies.

1. I am sorry to everyone who thinks I am masculine, but who no longer will at the conclusion of this blog.
2. I am sorry for the countless number of times I made fun of the back of this lovely book...Perhaps there is just a part of me that has always wanted to be a vampire. Perhaps I was desperately searching for a good romance. Perhaps it was the fact that he dazzled her...

For whatever reason, I just finished Twilight in less than 48 hours.

I bite my tongue (careful not to draw blood) and stand corrected, as I wholeheartedly recommend this enchanting novel.

ps. Let the ridicule begin.

pps. Jacob read it too!

I think this is my favorite blog of all time.
1. You apologized for making fun of the horrible back cover.
2. You're a literary genius.
3. You're still uber masculine. Unless you're falling for Edward...then you're just mostly masculine.

And I'm sorry, I totally botched Saphira.

You get major points from me for letting someone PERSUADE you to read it! (Kendall's mom)

I couldn't be more proud of you at this moment. You finally read it! I thought Jacob was totally over reading it until yesterday when I was going to tell him what happened in Eclipse (yes, he read Twilight and New Moon) and he said "DON'T, I still might read it." I knew he couldn't ever be freed from it's power.

I told Adam last night that it was time for him to read it. He kindly said I don't think so but I think he is warming up to the idea.

So Josh are you hooked and going to read the next three?

Thanks a lot for publicly outing me on your blog. I have always said that Twilight is a good story but leaves something to be desired. I mean Stephanie Meyer seems like a nice BYU grad and I am glad she made millions off these stories, but come on, how many times can two people "glower" at each other. There are other words out there for an angry stare. And, I think I got the description of Edward's face the first time around and didn't need the other thousand versions of the same dialog. I am obviously not as much of a romantic as you Joshy. So there - I read it and liked the story. Enough to read the second book (over about 2 months) but not enough to read the third.

So it may seem that Jacob is done with Edward and Bella in his life, and yet I'm still not allowed to tell him what happens in the third book. Hmm....that's funny Jacob. Sounds like you just can't let go. It's OK. I understand.

It takes a real man to admit that he stands among the thousands of screaming girls that love a good vampire love story. Besides we need something to fill the void that Harry left in our lives. (and a much hotter vampire will do the trick)

Hahahaha the comments are as great as the blog itself.

Joshua, the world would be a more romantic place if all men would read and enjoy this book.

Jacob - I'm with you on the lack of expansive vocabulary and the overabundant explanations of Edward's beauty.

Abbey & Emma - when can you come visit and swim here so I can meet those cute boys! Fri the 22nd? Fri the 29th?

That does it, Josh! I'm going to have to read it, too! Rachel has a copy in her bedroom just waiting for me! Your sense of humor is the best!

Yay for jumping on the bandwagon! I joined, and it was great! Mike doesn't think he will ever give in. But then again, he is the only guy in our family that wears pink on a regular basis. We shall see... it might be only a matter of time...

Wow Josh. Are you gonna vote for Obama now too?

Rachel said...

YES YES YES! I'm so happy you're a converted Twilight fan. Now hurry up and get to the 4th book so you can be freaking out about it with me right now!

(Whoa, 13 comments. Someone's popular.)

Right when I happened upon your blog this morning and saw your post, I got little all excited like a little school girl. :) It is very sad how obsessed I am with these books. :) I am definitely impressed Josh! Teage refuses to read them, and I keep begging him so I can have someone to discuss it with! You've got to keep going....just trust me! :)
